Abstract

Bulgaria joined the Axis power during World War I, until 1943 although the public opinion was against this decision. Russia( Soviet Union) tried to create a unified political front that emerged with the Fatherland Front. Finally a new Bulgarian government was formed up starting with 9 September 1945. This was within 2 Communists but this was only the beginning for a gradual Communist takeover by stealth.
